On Saturday, June 14th, families from across Richmond came together at 8980 Williams Rd for the “GC Trunk & Treasure” market event, hosted by Glow Up Canada Club as part of the Green Circle Environmental Show. What was once a simple parking lot transformed into a colorful hub of creativity, sustainability, and community spirit.

🎨🌟 Crafty Co. Shines Bright

A highlight of the day was the Crafty Co. booth, run entirely by young makers. With their signature motto “Little Hands, Big Hearts,” the team showcased a delightful collection of handmade hair clips, cute resin accessories, custom stationery, and creative trinkets. The booth attracted both kids and adults, many of whom stopped by to admire the colorful setup and purchase unique handmade items.

📚✨ Books & Beyond

In a beautiful blend of creativity and sustainability, the youth also organized a charming second-hand book corner. Picture books, educational guides, and fun reads filled picnic blankets, inviting families to browse and share stories while promoting eco-friendly values.

🛍️🎈 Family Fun for a Cause

The entire afternoon was filled with music, games, lucky draws, face painting, balloon twisting, and DIY art activities. More than just a market, the event became a space where youth leadership, community connection, and environmental awareness came to life through action.
